First Day Shoe Distribution Sept. 18-19

First Day Shoe Fund flyer Students from across Kalamazoo County can pick up a free pair of athletic shoes from the First Day Shoe Fund, when the organization holds its first Drive Thru Shoe Distribution from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18 and 19 at Wings Event Center,  3600 Vanrick Dr.

Families do not need to pre-register for the event, but schools are assigned to time slots to ensure smooth traffic flow. Families will still be served if they cannot attend their assigned time slots. Families must be in line by 5:30 p.m. to be served.

Family members must stay in their vehicle while in the drive thru line. There will be a designated area in the parking lot for children to try on their shoes in a safe manner. Masks are required for anyone interacting with staff or volunteers from First Day Shoe Fund or the Wings Event Center. If you do not have a mask, a mask will be provided. Accommodations will be made for families who arrive by bus.
