Welcome to the Kalamazoo Public Schools Transportation Department website. It is our mission to provide safe, prompt and effective transportation for all of our district’s students. We appreciate your assistance in helping us accomplish this goal.
The 2020/2021 school year has posed considerable challenges for our entire community as we are dealing with the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
We encourage you to utilize this webpage to receive useful information, resources and updates as we implement practices to help us all navigate our way safely ahead.

To transport students as safely and efficiently as possible, we are strictly adhering to the following:
- Transportation for eligible students only
- Student seating arrangements
- Proper student behavior, including use of personal protective equipment (masks on school buses) and hand sanitization while boarding
For changes regarding your student’s transportation, please notify the school your student is attending. If your student(s) will not need school bus transportation, please notify the Transportation Department directly via email or phone.
The Transportation Department is in the process of moving to a new facility on Ravine Road and will no longer be operating at our former location on Jackson Street.
*Entry into the Transportation Department facility is by appointment only when necessary and when social distancing methods are not possible
