It is our mission to help our students become successful and to assist them in reaching their potential.  Building relationships with our students/families and maintaining sound two-way communication between the home and school are vital to this endeavor.  It is also essential that our parents have easy access to all information that the school offers so that they can make informed educational decisions with their children.

Here you will find essential information for parents and students for the school year.  From this site you will be able to access staff emails, special announcements, guidance information, athletic schedules, and more.  It is my desire to have a safe and productive year where the Kalamazoo Central High School Community works together to achieve greatness.

The Social Studies department is proud to announce that five Giants, including Olivia Smith, Elise Yost, and Clara Smith, submitted entries in the National History Day competition at WMU this past weekend. Victoria Minka and Jenna Bowker’s project on the Iranian Hostage Crisis earned them a place at the state level competition on April 28th in Bay City. Congratulations, Giants!

The Winterfest dance will be held this Friday March 9th after the basketball game. Tickets are being sold during all three lunches and after school by Ms. Swann in room 317.

ATHLETICS

The Lady Giant varsity basketball team plays in the first regional game at Norrix tonight (3/6) against East Lansing at 7:30. All tickets are $5, no passes or discounts.

Men’s basketball district games continue tomorrow (3/7) with two games, one at 5:30 and our game against Mattawan at 7. Come see the second round of districts tomorrow in our home gym. All tickets are $5, no passes or discounts.

Before the first day of spring sports, which is next Monday, March 12th, you will need to have ALL of your paperwork completed. If you have any questions, ask in the athletic office.
