Kalamazoo Central High School

It is our mission to help our students become successful and to assist them in reaching their potential.  Building relationships with our students/families and maintaining sound two-way communication between the home and school are vital to this endeavor.  It is also essential that our parents have easy access to all information that the school offers so that they can make informed educational decisions with their children.

Here you will find essential information for parents and students for the school year.  From this site you will be able to access staff emails, special announcements, guidance information, athletic schedules, and more.  It is my desire to have a safe and productive year where the Kalamazoo Central High School Community works together to achieve greatness.

At Kalamazoo Central we want all of our students to go "PRO" (be Prepared, be Respectful, take Ownership.)   Let's take GIANT steps forward!

Today's College Fair is cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. Please join us at that time to learn about Promise accepting private and independent colleges.

If you took the PSAT9 or PSAT 10 last year, you may pick up your score report in the main office.

Students, have you misplaced keys or prescription glasses? Please stop by room 351 and see Mrs. Posey. She may have items that you have been looking for.

Are you interested in visiting colleges? Do you like being outside? Would you like to do science research that looks great on college applications? The Third 90 program would like to have you! If you are interested, see Mrs. Hohler in room 335 to pick up an application. Applications due by March 8.

Attention Teachers, please don't forget to sign for your attendance in the red binder in the main office. There will be a new sheet up this afternoon for this week and it needs to be signed by the end of the day today.

Have you ever wanted to travel internationally? What are your plans for Spring Break 2019? Please visit Ms. Bowden in room 247 for her 2019 trip to Costa Rica! Our first group meeting is next week.

eSports team! Remember, you have practice today after school at Glitch. Make sure you bring your permission slip/contracts as well. Mr. K has copies in room 136. Also, we have a very important fundraising meeting on Monday (3/5) where we need everyone’s attendance.

Sam Ankley placed 5th last night at the Diving Regionals competition. That qualifies him for the state meet next weekend at Oakland University. Congratulations Sam!

Were you thinking about going to the women’s basketball final district game in Mattawan tonight? If you’re interested in riding a fan bus, $5 tickets will be sold during all 3 lunches today. The $5 ticket gets you into the game and a seat on the bus. We have to fill the bus so buy your ticket today during lunch. Tickets have to be purchased by noon today to confirm the bus. Bus leaves at 6:30 sharp!

Before the first day of spring sports, which is March 12th, you will need to have ALL of your paperwork completed. If you have any questions, ask in the athletic office.
