It is our mission to help our students become successful and to assist them in reaching their potential.  Building relationships with our students/families and maintaining sound two-way communication between the home and school are vital to this endeavor.  It is also essential that our parents have easy access to all information that the school offers so that they can make informed educational decisions with their children.

money, Money, MONEY!!

Seniors, if you've been admitted to WMU, check the Admissions part of the WMU website for scholarships now and often. Some important deadlines are coming up soon.


Also seniors, if you've been admitted to any other colleges, continue to check your account portal, as well as the admissions and the financial aid parts of the college websites. Scholarships are likely to pop up any time.


Kalamazoo Central now has a History Club so that you may enter the National History Day Competition. The KC History Club will convene in room 312 with Mr. Danis today (1/25) from 2:30 to 3:15 to discuss the future.


If you are interested in running for Winterfest court, please pick up a form from your class advisor today (1/25) all forms due tomorrow (1/26).


Gamers, Mr. K and Mr. Graham will be hosting an informational meeting today (1/25) for those interested in being a part of K Central's first E-Sports team! The video games we will be competing in are, but not limited to: Overwatch, Rocket League and League of Legends. The meeting will be in room 136 from 2:30-3:15, plan your own ride home.


Magic the Gathering Club is cancelled today due to illness.

The following KC choir students were selected to perform in the Michigan School Vocal Music Association State Honors Choirs and All-State Jazz Honors Choir today and Friday (1/26):

Eliza Geer, Margaret Lekan, Natalia March, Abigail Baker, Elaine Pollard, Kimion Curtis, Olivia Ampey, Tyanna Brodhagen, Sean Davis, Zachary Gillish, Kristen Kuhtic and Ashton Watkins. Congratulations to all of these accomplished vocal performers!


History Club is regrettably cancelled today and will be rescheduled next week. If you are thinking about joining us please stop by room 312 tomorrow to get some papers.



Three Kalamazoo United Alpine Ski Team members from KC finished in the top ten overall at last nights ski race at Bittersweet. For the boys, senior Reuben Glasser finished 3rd overall while sophomore Jaxson Terranella-Hoffman finished 7th overall. On the girls side, Junior Emily Eckert finished 6th Overall. Congrats to the whole team including Tasia Parsons and Jordan Smith for a strong performance. Special thanks to Athletic Director Dylan Patterson for braving the cold and joining us at Bittersweet for the event!


Your Maroon Giant Wrestling Team beat Loy Norrix this Monday by a score of 54-23. Earning victories for Kalamazoo Central were Cameron Williams, Sam Rice, Jeffrey DeYoung, Sam Henley, Pikasso Guttierez, Jeffrey Moore, Craig King, and Jacob Seager. Kalamazoo Central also wrestled Gull Lake last night and lost a tough match 47-31. Winning against Gull Lake were Cameron Williams, Nik Vallier, Jeffrey DeYoung, Sam Henley, Jeffrey Moore, and Jacob Seager. We have our home tournament this Saturday which begins at 9:30, we would love to see you all there!


Tonight the men’s swim and dive team hosts Sturgis. Start time off the blocks is 6:00, be there to cheer on our swim and dive team!
