Kalamazoo Central High School

It is our mission to help our students become successful and to assist them in reaching their potential.  Building relationships with our students/families and maintaining sound two-way communication between the home and school are vital to this endeavor.  It is also essential that our parents have easy access to all information that the school offers so that they can make informed educational decisions with their children.

Here you will find essential information for parents and students for the school year.  From this site you will be able to access staff emails, special announcements, guidance information, athletic schedules, and more.  It is my desire to have a safe and productive year where the Kalamazoo Central High School Community works together to achieve greatness.

Last chance for this school year! There will be only 1 more chance to test out of the Computer Applications requirement this year. If you want to try to test out on February 6 and 7, see your counselor right away to sign up.

Seniors, if you've been admitted to WMU, check the Admissions part of the WMU website for scholarships now and often. Some important deadlines are coming up soon.

Also seniors, if you've been admitted to any other colleges, continue to check your account portal, as well as the admissions and the financial aid parts of the college websites. Scholarships are likely to pop up any time.

The monthly meeting for the Junior Class of 2019 is tomorrow (1/24) at 7am in room 355. We will be planning for the upcoming Winterfest week competitions. Pick up a pass to attend the meeting outside room 355 or talk to any Junior class council member.

Kalamazoo Central now has a History Club so that you may enter the National History Day Competition. The KC History Club will convene in room 312 with Mr. Danis on Thursday (1/25) from 2:30 to 3:15 to discuss the future. This message will eventually self destruct.

Gamers! Video Game Club is today after school! However, the time will ONLY go from 2:30 to 5:45, so PLEASE make sure you have a ride coming by that time! Today will be a Mario Kart Tournament for the Switch! Video Game Club will run every Tuesday!

FCCLA students interested in attending the State Leadership Conference should see Ms. Boulding in room 406 during their lunch this week for more information and to pick up permission slips and rubrics.

On Wednesday (1/24) the Kalamazoo United Team will host the next league event at Bittersweet at 5:00. Come on out and support the KU Alpine Ski Team. No admission fee. Go to Bittersweet and then walk from lodge to the base of Hawthorne which is the race hill.
