It is our mission to help our students become successful and to assist them in reaching their potential.  Building relationships with our students/families and maintaining sound two-way communication between the home and school are vital to this endeavor.  It is also essential that our parents have easy access to all information that the school offers so that they can make informed educational decisions with their children.

Tutoring with Western Michigan students will resume on Monday (1/22).


Last chance for this school year! There will be only 1 more chance to test out of the Computer Science requirement this year. If you want to try to test out on February 6 and 7, see your counselor right away to sign up.


money, Money, MONEY!!

Seniors, if you've been admitted to WMU, check the Admissions part of the WMU website for scholarships now and often. Some important deadlines are coming up soon.


Also seniors, if you've been admitted to any other colleges, continue to check your account portal, as well as the admissions and the financial aid parts of the college websites. Scholarships are likely to pop up any time.


Attention student drivers, it is important that you get your parking pass asap for $15 in Mrs. Boggan’s office. If you do not have a parking pass hanging from your rearview window, you will end up with a warning sticker on your window.


Attention Teachers, please don't forget to sign for your attendance in the red binder in the main office. There will be a new sheet up this afternoon for this week and it needs to be signed by the end of the day today.


Attention all Sophomores!! Join us for your next student council meeting next Wednesday (1/24) from 2:30 - 3:30. Please plan your own ride home.


Finally, the moment you have all been waiting for has arrived! Kalamazoo Central now has a History Club so that you may enter the National History Day Competition. The KC History Club will convene in room 312 with Mr. Danis next Thursday, January 25th from 2:30 to 3:15 to discuss the future. This message will eventually self destruct.


Video Club News: Congratulations to Tyler VanRavensway for winning an awesome Star Wars: The Force Awakens mug at last night's Smash tournament! GAMERS!!! Mr. K is looking for people who can play League of Legends, Overwatch, and Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U! If you are interested in joining KCentral's first Video Game Club Team, see him in room 136 or come to Video Game club next Tuesday (1/23) in room 135!


If you lost a pair of glasses, chocolate/gold frame near the 400/500 wing, please pick them up from Ms. Boulding in room 406.


FCCLA members interested in attending and/or competing at the State Leadership Conference should see Ms. Boulding in room 406 during their lunch to pick up permission slips and/or event rubrics today.


1/19 results

The men's swimming and diving team hosted Mattawan/Hackett last night. Outstanding performances were put in by Andre Aro, DeShawn Darden, Steven Coats and Sam Ankley.

Conditioning for both lacrosse teams will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15-5:45 pm at Maple Street Middle School gym. If you are interested in playing this spring, please attend, no experience necessary.


This evening our varsity basketball teams will host Mattawan. The women’s team at 5:45, men’s team at 7:00.
