It is our mission to help our students become successful and to assist them in reaching their potential.  Building relationships with our students/families and maintaining sound two-way communication between the home and school are vital to this endeavor.  It is also essential that our parents have easy access to all information that the school offers so that they can make informed educational decisions with their children.

From the Counseling office: A representative from the Army will visit at 1:00 tomorrow (1/16). Please, get a pass from your counselor or main office.


There will be a bilingual club meeting in room 548 tomorrow (1/16) from 2:30-3:15. We will be discussing and planning upcoming events. See you there.


Macho Volleyball games are tonight at 6pm. Admission is $3


FCCLA will hold it's January meeting tomorrow (1/16) after school in room #406. Students who would like more information about the State Leadership Conference should see Ms. Boulding in room 406 or one of your chapter officers.

Tutoring with Western Michigan students will resume next Monday, January 22nd. Again, WMU tutors won’t be back until next Monday, January 22nd.


Congrats to the Model United Nations team who had a strong showing at the University of Michigan this weekend. A special shout out to Jon Andrews for his Honorable Mention. Congrats again.


Attention Marketing Students and DECA members: This is a reminder that our District III DECA conference at KVCC is this Friday, January 22nd. If you haven’t received your permission slip, see Mr. Roy immediately. We will be at KVCC from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Remember you must be professionally dressed so Dress for Success! Contact Mr. Roy if you have any questions. Be sure to see Mr. Roy about your transportation plans. We will meet outside the Maroon Shop this Friday at 7:45 am. “With Kalamazoo Central DECA, the best just keep getting better!”



On Saturday the bowling team took on Gull Lake. Allie Stone won one match 133-128, William Soltes rolled 235 and 200 to win both of his matches and Riley Barnum and Tyler Keown each won one match.


Conditioning for boys and girls lacrosse will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15-5:45 pm at Maple Street Middle School gym. If you are interested in playing this spring, please attend, no experience necessary.


Women's soccer conditioning is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:30. Meet outside coach Sandhu's room, 348.


KC students, the teachers have a staff meeting today after school and will not be available for tutoring or the computer lab. Please plan to take your bus home at dismissal. Again, the teachers have a meeting after school today and will not be available for tutoring or Lab 301.
