What students wear to school is a matter of individual taste. However, clothing which interferes with others’ rights or with the proper functioning of school cannot be allowed. Students whose clothing interferes with school will be required to change clothes or in some cases, turn a shirt inside out.
~Students will not be allowed to wear clothing that advertises alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sexual exploitation, profanity, violence, or clothing
connected to “gang” insignias.
~Pants that are worn below the waist line will not be permitted. Pajama pants are not permitted unless associated with a special
activity (i.e. pajama day, etc.)
~Dresses, skirts, and shorts should be no shorter than the tips of student’s fingers when the arms are extended down the side of the body.
~Shirts must cover the midriff area and straps must be at least two fingers in width.
~Spaghetti straps, backless shirts, strapless shirts, tube tops, and halter tops are not permitted.
~Flip-flops or other sandals that create a danger in running on the playground and in emergency situations are not recommended, due to safety
reasons. Inserted Heelys in shoes are not permitted. Gym shoes are required in gym class.
~Bandannas, hats, and sunglasses are not permitted to be worn in school, except in the case of special activities.
~Novelty hair coloring is not permitted, except for on Halloween.
