About Us

  • Students develop their artistic nature in an environment that encourages creativity as an integral part of the educational process. Students are exposed to a broad range of art experiences through four strands: visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and technical arts. Students have the opportunity to continue this learning after school by enrolling in Kalamazoo Kids In Tune. KKIT is a free after-school orchestra program offered through the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra for students in grades 3-5. In addition, Woods Lake is a full-service Communities In Schools of Kalamazoo partner. Full-day kindergarten classes are provided at Woods Lake.
