Mathematics

The following is an overview of the K-12 mathematics programs.

Objective:
Our mathematics programs and curriculum are designed to develop mathematically literate students who comprehend mathematical concepts, demonstrate fluency with procedures, are strategically competent, use adaptive reasoning, and view mathematics as sensible. Currently, KPS follows the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) which include the Standards for Mathematical Practice, and places greater emphasis on problem solving and using math in context.
