Annual Events at Parkwood

Hoopla
Every fall the PTO works very hard to organize the annual Hoopla basketball game: Parkwood teachers and staff vs. the Kalamazoo Kings baseball team. Previously we were honored by Channel 3's news anchor, Jeff McAtee, to be our emcee. We have cheerleaders, mascots, cheer gear for sale, free gifts thrown into the audience, half-time games for the kids, and silent auctions for all kinds of fabulous things, from movie-night gift baskets to lawn service to hand-stitched quilts. Food and drinks are sold, as well. This is one fund raiser that nobody wants to miss.
Movie Nights
Students watch a movie in the gym with other fellow students, teachers, and parent volunteers as supervisors, so parents can get away for date night. Refreshments are sold.
Valentine's Dance
A great night with all of the family. Lots of dancing, cookie decorating, dipping in a chocolate fountain, and a family picture to top the evening off. Feb. 2011.
Mom-to-Mom Sale
We will have the next Mom2Mom sale in the Fall of 2012 or Mar of 2013.  If you want more info contact Tammy @ tayriss [at] gmail [dot] com.  Parkwood families sell gently used kids and baby items in the gym. We rent tables to sellers. It costs $20/table for the 1st one & $10 ea. additional.
Carnival Night
A great cheap community fun night!  There are ton of games and prizes making this a night full of excitement.
