Meet Mrs. Darnell

Hi, I'm Mrs. Darnell.  I have been teaching in Kalamazoo for 24 years--this is the beginning of my twelfth year in kindergarten!  I have my Master's degree from Western Michigan University and my Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University .  I recently earned my Certificate in Educational Technology from MSU.

About Mrs. Stoll

My name is Sarah Stoll and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am excited to welcome you to a great year in kindergarten! This will be my 12th year of teaching grades K-2 in the Detroit and Kalamazoo Public School systems. I am very excited to be back at Indian Prairie this year!

I have a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Western Michigan University. I live on the west side of Kalamazoo with my husband, two sons, and guinea pig! In addition to me, your child may interact in the classroom with pre-service education students from Western Michigan University as well as parent volunteers and other community members.

I am looking forward to a great year!

Strategic Expectations

As we near the beginning of a new school year, we would like to continue to encourage all of our staff, students, parents and community members in promoting high and clear expectations for all of our students. As research has shown that students may lose up to 2.5 months of academics over the summer months, the following are strategies for students to continue to work on during the summer to strive for higher academic achievement and performance:
