Art

My name is Mrs. Pauken and I am the art teacher at Greenwood. I am very excited about all of the art that we are going to make this year!

I graduated for Western Michigan University with a BA in Art Education with an emphasis in Ceramics and Photography, along with a minor in Holistic Health Care with a concentration in Art Therapy. I am currently working on my master’s degree which will also be completed at WMU.

This year students will have art for 50 minutes, once a week, on either Thursdays, or Fridays. I have attached the art schedule below so that you know what day your student will come to art.
Thursdays – Ms. Brinkers
Fridays – Ms. Echols, Ms. DeVall, Ms. Casewell, Ms. Drake, Ms. Pott, and Ms. Skinner

If you have any items that you are thinking might come in hand for art class, please send them to school labeled ART. I am always looking for toilet paper and paper towel rolls, tin foil, egg cartons, plastic containers, extra pieces from scrapbooking paper, and other fun things that we can use to make art! Any donations are MUCH appreciated!

This year students will be learning about the Elements and Principals of design by creating art using may different mediums and studying Art History and Careers in Art.
