Vision of Loy Norrix High School:

The vision of high school reform at Loy Norrix can best be described as follows:  All students will develop the academic, social, and interpersonal skills necessary to make meaningful connections to school and to their future through experiencing relevant, rigorous instruction, personal growth, and success at Loy Norrix High School.  For the benefit of our students, the Loy Norrix High School community will support the development of the following:

• Relevant, rigorous instructional practices and individualized educational planning and services.


• Strong relationships among staff, students, and connections with families, and the community.


• Accountability between students and teachers through working in a face-to-face context where everyone is well known to each other.


• Effective support for teaching and learning in a context based on human relationship, teacher voice and shared decision making.
