Tuesday

From the world of sports: There are girls’ basketball games today after school. 8th grade plays here and 7th play at Portage Central. Games start at 3:30. The Hillside Wrestling team was victorious once again. Last night the Eagles beat Linden Grove 36-15 and squeaked past Maple St with a score of 24-22. There is a wrestling meet here at Hillside tomorrow. Come out and support the team.

The Skiing Club members need to meet in Ms. Dellinger’s room (803) today after school. Please report directly there.

We have a Tier 1 dance Friday Night 6:30-8:30. Tickets will be $2.00 each (free for students on the A honor roll).

Got the winter blahs? This week the Hillside Senate is sponsoring Winter Wonder Week. Tuesday will be Nerd/Genius day. Dress like your favorite nerd or genius. Wednesday will be Crazy Hair day and Thursday will be Beach Day-no swim suits. Friday will end our Winter Wonder Week with College Day followed by our Sadie Hawkins Dance, a Tier 1 activity.

Don’t forget that peer mediation is running every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch. If you have any teasing, arguing, rumors or name calling issues fill out a blue sheet in your English classroom. Trained students can help you solve your problem.

NO CELL PHONES ARE TO BE USED IN THE SCHOOL BUILDING, even after school hours. All cell phones are to be used outside the building. COATS & JACKETS are not to be worn in the classrooms; they are to be put in lockers when you enter the building at 7:28 AM. If you are cool in a classroom you may wear a sweater, a hoodie or a sweatshirt.

Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM until 7:25 AM.  Students need to take a seat after they get their breakfast and stay seated or you will be asked to go back and wait outside. Students wait outside until 7:28 for the start of the school day, so please dress for the weather.

Every student needs to wear their ID at all times while in school.  You will need your student ID to attend games, and other after school events.
