    Hillside Student Senate announced the color theme for this year’s Farewell Dance: Royal Blue, Light Blue and Silver. This color theme beat out the other choices with Purple, Blue and Silver coming in 2nd.

    Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo (May 5th). It is a holiday for our Mexican-Americans which celebrates Mexico winning against France.

    Today students are dismissed at 10:35 AM. It is the end of our fifth six weeks marking period.

    May’s PTSO meting will be held in the Library on May 8th. The meeting will start at 6:00 PM. (Did you know that the S stands for students?)

    Our Hillside Track Eagles will be at Mattawan today for a meet.

    Mr. Paige is out this afternoon so no 1 hour detentions can be served with him after school today.

    Congratulations to our DI teams for their strong showing at State this last Saturday. One of our 7th grade teams came in third and the other came in tenth and our 6th grade team took 7th place. k.
