We appreciate your continued confidence in Kalamazoo Public Schools. The following is a list of the capital projects to be accomplished from this $62 million bond:

 

Arcadia Elementary

Replace asphalt paving

Install concrete pads around paved catch basins

Install barrier-free ramp and handrails at main entry

Install barrier-free access at exterior stoops

Replace masonry screen wall at entry

Replace corridor coat hooks with lockers and replace existing lockers

Replace boiler

Replace Media Center air handling unit and add cooling

Replace Office area air handling unit and add cooling

Replace Cafeteria air handling unit and add cooling

Replace 2 HW circulation pumps including valves and piping

Replace pneumatic controls air dryer

Replace classroom unit ventilators and add cooling

Replace/add site lighting

 

Edison Environmental Science Academy

1929 Building

Install barrier-free access at south entry stoop

Install barrier-free access at Gymnasium exits

Add barrier-free access to stage

Replace public address system

 

1958 Building

Install barrier-free access at exterior stoops

Install elevator for access to second floor

Replace all windows and retrofit panels

Provide rated separation for egress stairs
