Recent state budget debate around the Michigan Promise Scholarship has caused some concern and questions about the Kalamazoo Promise. The Kalamazoo Promise is alive and well and not associated in any way with the Michigan Promise Scholarships .
The Kalamazoo Promise is funded by a group of anonymous donors and has been established to continue indefinitely. Current state budget debates will have no effect on the Kalamazoo Promise.
Kalamazoo Public School students should plan to do well in school, graduate, take full advantage of the Kalamazoo Promise, and become successful in all phases of their lives.
We offer a special thank you to the donors of the Kalamazoo Promise for their vision and belief in our community and our children.
